Chiropractors are registered Healthcare Professionals with the Hong Kong Government and must undergo rigorous training and certification similar to that of other health care professionals. There are currently 228 Chiropractors registered and certified to practice in Hong Kong. Regular and continual Chiropractic education is required and is comprehensive, integrative and outcomes-based. Chiropractic therapy is a non-surgical, conservative care approach to physical disorders. Chiropractors practice a manual approach, providing diagnosis, treatment and preventive care for disorders related to the spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints.
The World Health Organization(WHO) defines Chiropractic as: A health care profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on general health. The WHO also recognizes that Chiropractic places treatment emphasis on manual techniques, including joint adjustment and/or manipulation. In the past, care from a Chiropractor focused on manipulation. At Joint Dynamics, your chiropractic care is MORE than just an adjustment or manipulation.

We emphasize the importance of proper movement, joint health and preventative care. Our Chiropractor will assess you from top to bottom. Both a static and dynamic functional movement assessment will give the doctor and patient valuable information on their joint health, pain or posture and movement status. Treatment from your Chiropractor involves a diverse of techniques, depending upon what is found in assessment. Soft tissue treatments (including Functional Range Release Techniques or FR® Release, Active Release Techniques or ART), biomedical needling, electrotherapy, physical training, in addition to the Chiropractic manipulation, may be required. Post treatment typically involves active home based protocol to emphasize a full recovery and promote long term improvements (through Functional Range Conditioning or FRC®). Chiropractors are also trained to recommend lifestyle changes on nutrition, diet and supplementation. Your Chiropractor may also need some extra information and may request advanced imaging (MRI, Xray or diagnostic ultrasound) to help aid in the diagnosis and prognosis of your condition.
