Colin Symmonds
Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Biography
Colin brings 27 years of clinical experience to the assessment and treatment of spinal and complex musculoskeletal conditions. With a background that spans sports therapy, physiotherapy and advanced orthopaedics, he places the nervous system at the centre of how people experience pain and function. Colin’s sessions are collaborative and adaptive, with plans that evolve as the client progresses. He is known for straight-talking education, practical self-management strategies and a results-focused approach that fits real life.
Specialities
Colin works with backs and necks, neuromuscular re-education and the integration of manual therapy with personalised exercise. He prioritises movement efficiency and believes meaningful change comes from what patients do outside the clinic as much as what they do within it.
Information & Qualifications
Colin holds a Diploma in Sports Therapy, a BSc in Physiotherapy from the City University of New York and a Master’s degree in Orthopedics from the University of Indianapolis. He completed a Fellowship in Applied Functional Science at the Gray Institute in the United States and holds certification in the 3D MAPS assessment.
