Biography
Eight years experience, coupled with a post grad in Sports Physiotherapy, has honed Jess’ skills at treating everyone from high-level athletes with elite aspirations, to those who would like to be able to walk up the stairs or get up from a chair. Jess is passionate about designing a rehab program unique to your goals. Fun fact, Jess is also qualified to treat your pets! Outside work, Jess likes to read, go hiking, or go to the gym. And nothing quite beats a chilled NZ wine on a Friday night!
Specialities
Jess enjoys working with back and lower limb injuries, particularly in athletes, using a combination of hands-on treatment and integrative exercises to get you back achieving your goals as quickly as possible. Jess believes in a holistic approach, meaning you walk out of the clinic feeling better, stronger and more confident to move your body in the way that's meaningful to you.
Information & Qualifications
Jess gained her Bachelor in Physiotherapy with Distinction from the University of Otago, making the Dean's List in each year of her attendance. Post-graduate study led her back to Otago and she further achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy with Distinction, where the course focused on manual therapy and rehabilitation of athletes both in clinic and in a team environment. She has many years experience working with rugby teams, and is a qualified Sports Medic with concussion management certification. Jess' approach is tailored to each client, and is both professional and friendly. She delivers results, while sharing some laughs along the way.
