Thais Alexander Brinch-Hvid

Fitness & Health Professional

Biography

Thais Hvid is a highly accomplished Fitness & Health Professional bringing over a decade of diverse movement experience to his coaching.

His athletic journey began with gymnastics at a young age, eventually transitioning into specialized disciplines including contemporary dance, ballet, and parkour/freerunning.

As an international performer, Thais has worked and toured extensively with renowned contemporary dance companies across Europe — including the Cullberg Ballet, Guy Nader | Maria Campos, the Danish Royal Theatre — and successfully ran his own dance company, “Gerlev Performance Team”, for several years.

For the past ten years, Thais has been a sought-after educator, teaching personal training sessions, workshops, and specialized classes in handstands, mobility, strength training, acrobatics, and dance. Alongside his coaching, Thais serves as a Part-time Lecturer at the prestigious Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) and actively competes as a Muay Thai fighter.

Coaching Philosophy

Thais employs a dynamic and contextual teaching method that prioritizes fundamental movement principles over rigid techniques. His philosophy seamlessly blends playful, task-oriented exercises with a classical reps-and-sets approach to strength conditioning. Drawing upon his academic background in sports science, physiology, and pain science, Thais believes in pushing clients to their physical limits while simultaneously instilling authentic confidence. He is dedicated to helping individuals refine their posture, form, and movement patterns to reduce injury risk and enhance performance in both athletic pursuits and daily life.

Special Interests

Beyond the gym and the dance studio, Thais is a multifaceted individual with a deep appreciation for continuous learning. He enjoys exploring philosophy, analyzing abstract art, and critically reading sports science literature. In his downtime, he can often be found drinking coffee, watching horror movies, or playing video games.
